Emergency Reporting’s training team stays busy year-round with a variety of training events, including leading three-day training academies at major cities throughout the year, organizing customized training sessions at specific fire departments and participating in State Fire Schools across the country.
Earlier this year, Emergency Reporting was invited to be on the schedule of classes for the North Dakota State Fire School. Our experienced trainers conducted two 4-hour sessions covering the basics of ER for our North Dakota customers.
The ER sessions were a fun, fast-paced, hands-on training opportunity, where students had the opportunity to learn the essentials needed to report to NDFIRS and the North Dakota Forest Service using ER. The sessions taught them how to get the most out of ER’s Incidents Module, System Notifications, Daily Log, and System Reports, and participants were able to work live in their agency’s ER account.
Many participants commented in post-session surveys that they found the “hands-on” experience to be very beneficial and helped them learn the ins and outs of navigating the ER system. One participant wrote, “I was very glad I took the class. The trainer explained everything very well and went over things I didn’t even know I had access to. I learned a lot in this class.”
Due to the success of the sessions, ER has been invited to return to the North Dakota State Fire School for multiple sessions next year.
